Paul & Merran Porjazoski

  • PAUL PORJAZOSKI
    B.PD (Arch), B.Arch (Hons),

    Paul established BENT Architecture in 2003.  In 2005, the practice was awarded the RAIA Chapter Residential Alterations & Additions Award for its first project, an extension in suburban Doncaster, a project which Paul designed and built.

    Paul was the Project Director for the 'Living Places' Public Housing Development, the Tolarno Hotel Conference Facility, and numerous other projects.  In his role as Director, Paul is responsible for the design and development of all projects in the office, along with his co-Director Merran.

    In addition to his role as Director of BENT Architecture, Paul has presented the work and ideas of the practice at various industry events, such as AIA functions, the National Green Roof Conference 2010 & 2011, and ABC radio.  He has been a jury member for the AIA Victorian Chapter's annual Architecture Awards and has undertaken various teaching roles at the University of Melbourne.

    MERRAN PORJAZOSKI
    B.PD (Arch), B.Arch (Hons), B.PC

    Merran has been Director of BENT Architecture since January 2008. Merran was the Project Director for the widely acclaimed 'Growing Up' Green Roof. In her role as Director, Merran is responsible for the design and development of all projects in the office, along with her co-director Paul.

    Prior to joining BENT Architecture in January 2008, Merran gained considerable experience as project architect on award-winning commercial, institutional and residential projects while working for leading architectural practices in Melbourne.

    Merran received a combined Bachelor or Architecture and Bachelor of Property and Construction from the University of Melbourne in 2001. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Association of Women in Architecture Prize by the ARBV for the most outstanding female architecture graduate from the University of Melbourne.

    In addition to her role as Director of BENT Architecture, Merran has undertaken various teaching roles at the University of Melbourne and has presented the work of the practice at various industry events, such as the National Green Roof Conference.
